Morimoto Soba Ale is delicious and not like any oriental beer I've ever had. It has a citrus finish that reminds me more of a Belgium Gold than anything else. It also has a nice body on it. The hot sake is a very good pairing with this beer and is really good.
Miso soup. I love me some miso soup and this did not disappoint me at all.
The House Salad has a delicious salad dressing with a hint of Ginger and a nice subtle sweetness and the blood orange is a nice refreshing touch to a typical salad that you would find at a sushi bar.
Blackened Seared Tuna with JalapeƱos.
This dish is incredible. Very light on the stomach and the jalapeƱos are sliced so thin that they add just the right touch of heat, with a little crunch, to compliment the sweet sauce covering the Tuna. The menu said that it comes on a bed of asparagus, which I was looking forward too, but it came with broccoli and cauliflower instead. I assume that it was not in season or something.
The atmosphere here is stylish, swanky, and hip. The bar in the middle of the restaurant has two enormous TV screens showing sports; which always makes me happy. They even have some round cushy booths with big walls that are nice and private, but we took the booth by window.
Dynamite Roll
Spicy Snow Crab meat over shrimp tempura, oven baked and topped with red tobiko.
Of course my meal didn't fill me up but this roll did and it was dynamite. It melted in my mouth with a clash of flavor and the crab was delicious. Really really good dish.
Unfortunately, our waitress was a bit of a scatter brained and forgot to bring us a few of our drinks, this did not distract us from a very impressive meal. Wes and Kristeen' dishes were also great v Everything on the table was delicious. Eat here!
